Fanart originally scribbled during our recent play through to commemorate our favorite Wesker quote from Resident Evil (Remake):

I have almost complete yet another Resident Evil (REmake) fanart. This one will feature Wesker, Jill and Barry eating a sandwich…

“MegaTobi” was super fun to make, and I have an idea or two for more AMVs and videos in general. Hopefully in 2012 we’ll produce more than our current quota of one per year. I plan to upgrade my editing suite to Final Cut Pro X now that I don’t have any pending projects in the old version 7, so maybe there will at least be some fun/test videos posted on our YouTube channel.
Before any new videos, however, I intend to release some more new music very soon with synAMA‘s companion EP. It will be comprised of songs that were recorded at the same time but didn’t fit for one reason or another on synAMA. The title and track list are more or less set. The artwork needs doing, but the concept is complete. I’ll be announcing it’s title and track list in the coming weeks.

Concocted for the MegaTobi AMV ending animated bumper. Mostly inspired by Captain Murphy’s classic Sealab 2021 quote and a brilliant tegaki illustration by darizard.
hut23: Spaghetti Dog
Hutna.com has come into the possession of Umbrella Corporation’s TOP SECRET “recipe” for creating zombie dogs:
Take a dog; slop on a can of Super Value! Spaghetti & Meatballs and BOOM! You gotta zombie dog.
These poor pups are trained to NOT eat the delicious meat sauce that is slathered upon their bodies… thus driving them to become vicious man eaters!

Ema’s Corner

I am finishing up a couple Resident Evil fanart pieces that originated from scribbles I sketched during our game challenge last week. One illustrates the “recipe” for making a zombie dog and the other features Wesker being… well… a cocky bastard (as usual). I will post the final versions of these soon.
J’s Corner
Made a small change to our about page thanks to Google maps’ April Fools Day quest mode (best April Fools Day thing ever).
There was a major set back in the production of the Tobi AMV; basically requiring me to re-edit the footage. It’s not starting from scratch, but it is close. This ended up being a sort of blessing in disguise as I think the new version will be even better. I wasn’t happy with the way some of the video was coming together, and in the process of re-editing it I think I have fixed what was bothering me. That said I can announce it’s release date: April 23rd! Be ready because on that day Tobi will be your fucking daddy!

Ema and J’s Corner
We are doing a joint corner because this week’s blog post will be about our Easter Zombie Jebus Day Resident Evil Challenge!

We decided to go with the Game Cube version (otherwise known as REmake) because it is in J’s opinion the best version of the original game (his favorite overall RE game is Code Veronica). J is a huge RE fan, but Ema has never played one. J thus allowed Ema to make most of the choices. The first being what character to play. Ema went with Jill (which was probably a good idea since it was her first time and Jill’s scenario is easier).

With our character selected we were all ready to go. In true GameCenter CX style we had assembled a variety of supplies to aid us in our quest.

Ema made egg salad sammiches, and we had some Australian style licorice, mini Cadbury eggs, panda Pokey and Cheddar Pringles for snacks. Of course no challenge would be complete without Japanese cooling pads (for when the action gets intense). Ema’s favorite character in Resident Evil (yes she had a favorite character before even playing the games) is Wesker. We both had a chuckle at some of his lines (“Did you notice… Barry, he sounded a little flakey.” was our favorite), and we both guffawed during his “death scene.”

All in all we had a great time, and made great time as well! Cleared in just under 9 hours it took only slightly longer than our EVO challenge. Ema took out most of the bosses, leaving only the snake and Tyrant for J. We actually split the game time pretty equally this time; it was practically 50/50. With our fourth challenge cleared what game should we tackle next?
